Prevalence of Gingival Inflammation among Patients Taking Antipsychotic Drugs

Objective: To explore the prevalence and severity of gingival inflammation among patients taking antipsychotic drugs. Method: This cross-sectional study was conducted in OPD a psychiatric department tertiary care hospital Lahore, Pakistan. Sample 1025 taken with history Patients were examined for periodontal disease using modified index (MGI) basic examination (BPE). Study from March to August 2022. Data will be entered SPSS version 25.0. Descriptive statistics, i.e. frequency percentage calculated categorical data. Results: A total number drugs examined, 873 them had some degree inflammation. Out disease, 536 (61.39%) exhibited mild moderate whereas status 337 (38.60%) presented severe Basic performed on individuals exhibiting guided regarding further treatment that needed improve health. Conclusion: The findings current revealed who are anti-psychotic at higher risk developing diseases due reduced salivary flow need advanced their condition.
